First time out in ages due to that massive high never shifting far from the
South West. The wind wasn't as strong as forecast but I was desperate so I
went for it when I wouldn't have bothered normally.
Rigged up the 6.2 for the first time but the mast I had was a combination
of a 460 Pryde CK35 bottom half with a 430 CK75 top half and was a bit too
stiff for the sail so it wasn't ideal.
First few runs were very underpowered, with a long swim when my uphaul
snapped, only getting planing on the waves. The wind picked up and was
planing most of the time but struggled to stay upwind. Not enough power to
try anything fancy either.
Would normally give this a 1 star for the windsurfing but it was a
combination of the temperature, long dry period off the water and the first
time in my summer suit this year that raised it.
